Our Whinstone Mental Health Champions are a caring and responsible group of pupils who work together to help make the school a calm, supportive, and welcoming place for everyone. Trained to recognise the importance of wellbeing, they promote kindness, inclusion, and positive relationships across the school. They help organise activities that encourage children to talk about their feelings, look after one another, and develop healthy ways to cope with challenges. Whether they’re leading mindful moments, checking in on classmates, or helping create peaceful spaces on the playground, the Mental Health Champions play a vital role in ensuring that every pupil feels valued, listened to, and safe. Their thoughtful presence helps build a school community where wellbeing is prioritised and everyone can thrive.
